Exhibition Introduction

One hundred Tiger Lords gathered from temples across Taiwan come together in this exhibition,

forming a series of temporal fragments that reflect the transformations of belief, the evolution of craftsmanship,

and the shifting rhythms of everyday life.

The exhibition space is conceived around the idea of the traditional opera stage, reimagined as a central platform.

Once quiet guardians standing at the corners of local temples, the Tiger Lords are brought back into the spotlightinvited to be seen,

understood, and rediscovered as the protagonists of this stage.

The spatial design combines stage-like structures with the imagery of temple offering tables. LED light strips, temple banners,

and traditional ornamental patterns are woven together to translate familiar religious symbols into a contemporary visual language.

Light and shadow not only suggest the flow of sacred energy, but also respond to the tempo and sensory experience of modern exhibition spaces,

allowing the presence of the Tiger Lords to find balance between solemnity and approachability.

Through this spatial arrangement, the Tiger Lords are no longer presented solely as deities to be worshipped,

but as figures that step closer to everyday life—entering the contemporary cultural landscape with warmth and familiarity.

What emerges is a portrait of Taiwanese culture as a living continuum: a state of ongoing transformation where tradition and modernity coexist,

beliefs remain in dialogue with the present, and faith continues to resonate toward the future.
